Mark Dellas

The Mark Dellas web site has been selected to appear in PRINT Magazine's Interaction Annual 2000, the July/August issue.

Print Magazine received hundreds of individual entries for the 2000 Annual from around the world. "We feel the work chosen is first-rate and that it represents the best interactive design produced today throughout the U.S. and abroad," says Martin Fox, editor of Print.

The site has also received a silver award in the 2000 Art Directors/Communicators of Buffalo Awards for Creative Excellence.

Algonquin Studios was commissioned by Mr. Mark Dellas to create a web-based portfolio for his compelling photography collection. Working in tandem with freelance designer Alan Kegler, Algonquin Studios had the complex task of narrowing down his vast number of images into 5 categories (Children, Portraits, Fashion, Weddings and Commercial) with only ten images per section. Visit Mark Dellas' site to see his work and our design.

The design of the site is intended to be simple, yet stylish - to complement Mr. Dellas' knack for capturing the essence of his subjects on film. The color-coding of the sections, coupled with the simplicity of the navigation accounts for the site's intuitive flow.

Future plans for the site may include an e-commerce solution for purchasing prints, note cards, and other merchandise bearing his photographs.

Mark Dellas The unusual combination of bright colors along with Mark's black and white imagery catches the eye of the visitor, while the softness of the design creates a flow throughout the site.

Mark Dellas Mr. Dellas' powerful photographs, along with his unique developing processes, create images that were easily translated to the media of the web, while providing artistic freedom in the development of the site.
