City Unveils New Web Site

Business First of Buffalo

The city of Buffalo has launched a new e-government initiative via the Internet. The Web site, http://www.city-buffalo.com, became operational Sept. 7.

Officials say the site was designed to assist residents and businesses in better accessing information easier and quicker. Citizens will be able to make payments through the Internet and in the future, businesses will be able to apply and pay for licenses and permits.

The site was developed by the city of Buffalo Information Systems Department and Algonquin Studios Inc. Users can employ QuantumCMS, a Web content management technology that was also developed by Algonquin.
